|Book:||'Drawing & Sketching' by John Palmer|
|This Edition Published By:||Anaya, 1993|
The work of John Palmer may not be well known - and a book about sketching & painting may not immediately seem to relate to wood engraving either, however the work of John Palmer is a big inspiration to me. I love the free way that he works and interprets subjects - more of the abstract realism than the realistic.
John Palmer has two books - this one and one written with Ron Ranson about watercolour painting, but it is still very much in the same style as this book. Recommended is this is your thing.
This is a book I keep on coming back to, dipping into the various sections, which fairly well designed to do.
I'd like to be able to review this more, but time doesn't allow me to at present, but I did want to include it here as it is an important book to me.
