We are isolating at home during the pandemic for the duration, and it is important to keep busy, and have things to look forward to.

In the past we have gown some veg, but we also have been very busy and not always had time to. We have pests and potato blight in our garden so are limited in what we can grow - foxes and badgers don't help when they try and dig things up, but I've also learnt what they don't touch as much.

This weekend we have all been working in the garden, preparing our veg growing area, digging it over, and the children helping to make a 3rd raised bed, and we've all got stuck in and enjoyed it.

We have some potatos and things to grow, and the children and I have planted some carrot, turnip and radish seeds in trays. When they are grown up we will plant them out (the seeds that is, not the children!)

In this pandemic there has been panic buying in the shops, which has reduced what is available, but hopefully this is settling down now, but maybe there will be shortages of food later in the year due to lack of staff to grow the veg, or maybe prices will be higher, so hopefully our veg will come in useful one way or another.

It is important to keep ourselves busy at home during this pandemic, finding things to do, and things to look forward to, and this is one of them.
