Last week I was randomly selected to take part in a Coronavirus Research Study to see who has COVID-19 without knowing it, as part of a research study with the NHS and Imperial College London.
Unsurprisingly, I don't have the Coronavirus - I didn't have the symptoms and we've been in near isolation since lock down began nearly 10 weeks ago.
But this was important research to be part of - if we want to come out of lock down, whilst there are many things we need to do - knowing who does and doesn't have it, and who has it but doesn't know it, is important to do.
I did the test last Saturday morning, at home, and a courier picked it up around 2:30pm that day. My test results arrived at 2:32pm yesterday (Wednesday). That is 4 days to get result, including time to transport the samples.
