Purchasing

Most items are hand made to order, when applicable I will put some items on Etsy, however during the Pandemic this may not be possible. Do ask if you have any questions.

Delivery is usually via Royal Mail, and in most cases I state the expected postage price, which is combined if multiple purchases are made, usually using the highest price once over.

Services

I offer various services to print makers etc., which are outlined on my Services Page. More information is included below about some of these.

Printmaking Wood / Engraving Blocks
I make woodcut (side grain) and wood engraving (end grain) blocks to order, see the relevant category in my Services Page.

Tool Sharpening
You post tools to me, I sharpen them, and post them back to you. I do this mainly on printmaking tools.

Other
I make wooden parts to help in printing processes/presses, see relevant sections on my Services Page.

Communication

Communication is important to me.

If you contact me, I will try to acknowledge or reply within 1 or sometimes 2 business days, unless I am on holiday.

If you buy a service (e.g. tool sharpening) or a print from me, I will keep you informed by email of it's progress. For example, with tool sharpening, I will email you when I have received your tools, with an approx. indication of when I intend to sharpen them. I will also email you when I am working on them & when I post them back to you.

When the item is posted back to you, I will email you the tracking reference & website to track on.

Invoices / Receipts

I provide proper invoices / receipts for all payments. These include the date, invoice number, work done and amount paid, along with any relevant payment details (PayPal, Cheque or Bank Transfer).

I am not VAT registered so this is not included in the invoice.

Quality of Work

It is important to me to provide a good standard of work in both services and made items.

In terms of tool sharpening etc. this means sharpening to a high standard, and testing all tools before posting back.

With other services this means providing what I hope is reasonably expected.

Refunds & Damaged Goods

I have worked freelance for 20 years in various spheres. I aim for a high standard of work. In the unlikely event that the goods are faulty I can refund up to the price paid for the goods.

I have posted many goods out over the past 10 years and rarely had items damaged in the post. All tools posted use Royal Mail Signed For delivery and carefully packaged. In the unlikely event that they are damaged or lost, I will aim to deal with this fairly on a case by case basis.

Complaints

Should the work you have received should not be to the standard you expect them please do email me, stating why you believe this to be the case, and I will objectively look at it and see how we could resolve the problem.
